Through our partnership, we ensure a comprehensive approach to care. While Revival Wellness provides expert-guided ketamine therapy in a safe, controlled setting, our team at Brain Treatment Center Ashburn integrates this with MeRT therapy, functional medicine, and other personalized interventions to support long-term healing. Together, we are committed to addressing mental health from every angle—helping individuals find relief, resilience, and renewed well-being.
What is Ketamine Infusion Therapy?
What is Ketamine Infusion Therapy?
Ketamine is an anesthetic drug that has been used since the 1960s, but in the last couple decades research for use as an antidepressant has taken off. A study published in 2000 by Yale School of Medicine was one of the first randomized control trials that demonstrated Ketamine’s antidepressant effects. It showed that at subtherapeutic doses (compared to being used as an anesthetic) Ketamine greatly improved depression. It has also recently been shown to have significant success in treating patients with not only treatment-resistant depression, but other mental health condition such as anxiety, OCD, post-partum depression, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation and even chronic pain. If you’ve tried prescription pain medications, antidepressants and other forms of treatment and have not had the results you desire, ketamine infusions may be the right option for you.
Ketamine is unique in the fact that it has the potential to give immediate improvement of symptoms compared to medications that may take weeks to notice any positive effects. It is also hypothesized to stimulate regrowth of synapses, effectively “rewiring the brain”. Ketamine is a safe, effective, and non-addictive treatment option.
